World Pulmonary Hypertension Day – Video Challenge
In collaboration with the PH patient organization, Medis colleagues accepted a special challenge. They have experienced the life of the patients during the #stayathome
initiative. Breathing only through two straws in their mouth turned a completely ordinary house chore into a challenging experience.
High blood pressure in the lungs is called pulmonary hypertension (PH) or pulmonary arterial hypertension. It is a chronic and life-changing disease that can lead to heart failure if left untreated. It may affect people of all ages and progresses extremely quickly. Patients experience symptoms such as shortness of breath, dizziness, and fatigue, and the severity of symptoms usually correlates with the progression of the disease.
In Medis we work closely with patients, advocacy organizations and health care experts to share innovative practices from diverse perspectives and new treatment options to patients in need.
