Founded in 1989, Medis employs more than 330 recognised experts in rare diseases, medical devices and consumer healthcare. Medis’ fully-owned subsidiaries operate across the Central and Southeastern European region.
Medis specialises in the commercialisation of innovative pharmaceutical products, with emphasis on specialty drugs, medical equipment and self-care brands. We are expanding at a double-digit rate of growth, with sales expected to top €120 million in 2020.
Altogether, Medis effectively covers a region with 53 million potential customers. Our significant medical, legal, and cultural expertise of the region gives us a unique advantage in helping our partners achieve their strategic goals.

I founded Medis in 1989 and I was the managing director for a long time. After the initial years, we quickly transformed into one of the fastest growing Slovenian companies and after 1995, we began to expand to other markets.
